Texas Pete Twin City Rib Fest

I'm ready to start eating (read: judging) ribs at the Texas Pete Twin City Rib Fest today!

I've only been once before and my goal was to eat ribs from each competitor. I can't remember if I made it around, but today I'll get my chance!

Here are some pics (and where I ate) in 2009:

My first time trying Bib's ribs. I was sold on it after the very 1st bite. 

I fell in love with the hushpuppies in front of about 50 people.

My favorite ribs. They were the defending champs 5 years running and I saw why--

tender, juicy, great sauce, nice crust on the outside. 

I hope they're showing at the festival this year *crosses fingers*

Winner! Winner! Chicken Dinner!

I have unbelievable luck. Anyone who knows me personally can attest to the fact that I am always winning something. Well, you have to pay to play and most of the time I am "playing" on Facebook and Twitter and I hear of contests, giveaways, and promotions from my favorite companies.

I've won everything from concert tickets, pizza parties from Papa John's, airplane tickets, trips across the country, to gift certificates from local restaurants. I've never won any money or contests with fame or prestige. But! Once again, I have struck gold.

This week I won $5 in Moe's Bucks from Moe's Southwest Grill.

A $30 gift certificate to WS|Prime Restaurant at a 336 Events After Work Social.


AND the opportunity to be a guest judge for the Texas Pete Twin City Rib Fest.
